Counseling Areas of Focus


Anxiety can show up and get in the way of living the life you want to live. I can support you in addressing the symptoms of anxiety so you can engage fully with your life.


Depression and its various symptoms interrupt your ability to show up for work, relationships, and yourself. There are many approaches to working with depression, and I can work with you to discover what works for you.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma isn't always what we believe it to be. It is not an event, but rather our response to an event. Trauma occurs when our ability to integrate and make sense of an experience is overwhelmed. There are numerous avenues for healing. Finding what's right for you and your situation is important. I am trained in and use several approaches to include Emotion Focused Individual Therapy, Trauma Focused ACT, Trauma Focused CBT, and Narrative Therapy.

My Approach

I use an integrated approach to counseling that includes a strong relational and client-centered focus. I work collaboratively with clients to determine how to best address their specific concerns. 

Some other specific methods/approaches I am trained in include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion Focused Individual Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Trauma Focused ACT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. Additionally, I have completed a Certification in Traumatic Stress Studies.
